Hi, I am a bit confused and would appreciate contributions from everyone. This is lengthy and I apologise.
Growing up as a child, I've always loved kids and loved to help people. I wanted studying medicine (paediatrics) but couldn't get admission. The next time I tried again for admission into the university, I opted for mathematics and computer science (only because I wanted to get involved with technology and I also love mathematics). Though mom suggested I go for nursing but I didn't give heed.
After my first degree, I went ahead to pursue a masters degree in computing but I don't moment I don't really feel like I belong to this world of computing. My mind keeps going to nursing.
I have done few researches and realised I could do after degree in nursing in Australia for 2years, I don't know if other countries offer such degree (Canada for e.g).
The confusion is that, I don't know what requirements I need as regard after degree in nursing, I don't know if nursing is really going to get me where I wanna be (work with kids, help and save lives), how tasking will it be especially as my brain is sort of occupied (at the moment) with computer science.
Is there a branch of nursing where I can utilise my computing skills without it being a waste (kind of). A lot on my mind, sorry to bore everyone
Thanks for reading and advising accordingly

Let me begin by saying, nursing is probably one of the best professions and certainly one of the most rewarding. Your skills set is very applicable in multiple settings. Research definitely. Writing software over almost all the specialties, which are numerous. I would suggest trying different specialties to get a broad outlook and see what grabs you. You sound analytical, so data collection with the endgame writing software from a nursing perspective. Not many of those around. Pharma, research, design, your skillset makes you invaluable especially if you worked the floors first. Neuro, oncology, metabolic Disorders that's where the future currently lies. Radical new TX modalities because of auto immune discoveries and with a nursing perspective, you could write your own ticket! Plunge in and welcome!!
Thanks.
