Make sure you eat a good breakfast that won't spike your blood sugar. It's not nice to be on the back side of that blood sugar spike when you're taking your exam. Leave all your electronics (including your phone) in the car. Have NOTHING in your pockets. Be doubly sure of that. Arrive at the site early and follow all the directions all the way through the exam... including leaving the site. The go do something fun for a while because your exam is over. There's NOTHING that you can do at this point to improve your chances of passing. Good sleep and good breakfast... just don't miss the exam. That would NOT be a nice thing...
Well I just finished the exam. It was like getting smacked in the face with all my nursing books at the same time:arghh:. I had mainly SATA, and prioritization questions. 1 calculation which was to find intake and output and 1 place in correct order question. I also had quite a few pharm questions. One thing to note is they NO LONGER HAVE BRAND NAMES next to generic names in brackets. This is because the exam will soon be used in Canada. I probably recognized 1 of the meds given..some of the others I had an idea and a couple I had no clue. For those I choose the answer that sounded like it would cause most harm to a patient. I'll post my study habits and what I used in a separate article once I know I passed.
