All I can say is I'm sorry, and I'm right there with you. I hate both the Pacer test and the jog-a-thon.

Indeed, PE teachers still want everyone to be as conditioned as a 3 season HS athlete is...and they are not.  I wish there was a greater level of fitness in all my students and staff (me included).
