Yale University GEPN 2024

Updated:   Published

Hello allnurses community!

This thread is for those applying to Yale's GEPN (Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing) Program for the Fall 2024 start.

It might be a little early as deadlines haven't been announced yet, but given all of the questions that many of us might already have, one can never be too early!

Good luck to everyone!

Adding my two cents. I was also told it would be on (rather than before) December 22nd that we will receive our admissions decisions

Okay, they kept telling me by the 22nd in email and in zoom meetings.

I know programs can make last minute changes, so I guess we will see what happens.

I wonder if at this point they know everything won't be completed until that date whereas maybe they were hoping to get things out earlier.

@Bernadette Valenzano That's a good point and it's possible... it would be nice to know a little earlier than the 22nd (especially because they kept telling me that we could know a little earlier), but I can't complain because most programs won't release any information until January.

Agreed! It would definitely be nice to know a little earlier as the suspense is killing me! LOL

and I think I may have already asked this but not sure - do they email us with update, does it go to nursing CAS...?

@Bernadette Valenzano I think we would be getting a email directly from YSN. I had to use a application portal like this for my MPH, but they sent me an email directly to tell me I got into the school.

Did anyone ever receive any email from Yale confirming their application was received? Or is it confirmed by receiving the verified status on NursingCas

@SMH18 I just have the verified status on mine which means they have all of my application materials (confirmed through program director and NursingCAS).

I never got an email.

I didn't realize they weren't doing interviews and making a decision before Christmas...now I'm stressed!!

@Jackie Hernandez there are no interviews for this program. They stated in several info sessions that they took that component away (thankfully), so no need to stress!
