@Rubytuesday821 California for me! I really want to tour the campus and surrounding area but it’s so hard. I went to the east coast for undergrad so won’t be my first time. It’ll be harder emotionally now that I’m putting down roots

Same, I'm in LA. I've visited the East Coast a few times incl. a CT trip but I've never been to coastal CT! If accepted, I think I'll book a trip to check out West Campus and apartment hunt. Let me know if you are going to visit around that time and we could coordinate a coffee date!:)

Hi all, just finishing up my app-

For the pre-requisite section, what courses do we list?

I know the program doesn't have pre-reqs, and the drop down has Chemistry, A&P, and microbio, but are those the only ones you listed?

I'm assuming you're applying to other programs, right? I would put down all of the pre-reqs required by your usual entry MSN program: Statistics, Chem, A+P, Microbio, Nutrition, Lifespan Develop. etc. I included the Biology courses I did as well.

Heeeeey all, congrats on completing the application :)

Just want to know if we will be getting any sort of updates on our applications like "received", "complete and being reviewed". I got that email from other schools that I applied to so was just curious. Reading last year's GEPN thread I don't think I saw this info tho.. Was just wandering (in anxiety LOL)

There was an email mid December that said they were finalizing the interview list and gave us a range of dates of when decisions may come out and then a date in that range they thought was more likely. There were issues with the email so they had to resend it when someone informed them a lot hadn’t received the email

That would be great!! I might try to visit before being accepted as well just to tour the campus. But I’ll definitely try to visit after as well to get a good idea of where the heck to live ***if*** accepted

I received a short email that said "Application Received" in the subject line after I clicked submit.

Has anyone seen a thread for John Hopkins or Northeastern for their 2022 program?

Sounds great, @ChemGirl713. 12/22 cannot come soon enough!

One month to go!  Any chance these results might come out sooner?

Heeeeeyall it's getting closerrrr! Happy holidays BTW :))))

Does anyone know the  percent of applicants they give interviews to? And then what percent get accepted from the interviews?

When I attended their info session and tried asking about it, they were surprisingly tight-lipped. They wouldn't share their acceptance rate but said that last cycle they had to reduce the number of seats due to COVID-related clinical limitations (sites/preceptors not being able to take students), and that the number would change again based on that. (I imagine for the better this cycle.) Very VERY generally speaking, when programs have answered the question I've heard them say they offer seats to around 50% of those interviewed. But each program and cycle is different so I wouldn't put much weight on that. And then the totally wild card is something med schools are calling the Fauci Effect, which is an influx in applicants due to those inspired by COVID. I imagine a program without barriers to entry like pre-reqs will experience an increase.
(On a separate note, bummed to see that Yale is changing this policy and requiring pre-reqs starting next cycle.)
All this to say, I don't know and even we did have numbers, it would change again this year. I know this is such an anxiety-provoking time for applicants.
If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to either try to accept it as a total unknown and forget about it until the email comes, or use the nervous energy towards something like reading up on program and preparing for your hopeful interview. (Easier said than done. haha)
