Hi everyone! Wanted to start this conversation for those who are getting ready to apply once the application opens on June 1st 2021.

I am hoping we can all share information, ask questions, and support each other throughout the exciting journey ahead!

so happy I got this far to begin with. 
 

Also I was busy last week and didn’t have time to introduce myself like you all did. 
 

I’m from Northern California.  I have two kids 2, and 4.  My eldest has autism. I did engineering / wine co owner / teacher. I am currently working with students who are neurodiverse and love it. I am also a runner if anyone else is as well. I’ve never been to the east coast. And was wishing to at least do campus visits during these nursing applications.

Not a runner currently, but would love to have someone to go on runs with! I just may have to jog really, really far behind you ? also very much looking for friends to drink wine with!

Me too!! I keep switching from this discussion to my email to the Yale portal. I just want to know either way?

Don't know why but I always assumed it would fall on Feb. 1, I think if it was today we would have seen it by now considering we got our Interview portal  updates around 12pm EST.

Update: Originally our interview decisions were supposed to fall on a Wednesday, but was delayed to Thursday

Hello Everyone ? 

Thanks to everyone for guiding us along here, I’ve been a silent watcher for a while on this forum but as we get closer to our end goal, I wanted to reach out and get to know everyone.

Did anyone else feel like they connected with their interviewer? We talked a lot about the world of EMS and EMT and I think we made some good bonds!  

I’m trying to find my old email (I got locked out of it but I know I printed my emails with my interviewer) where they told me the decision dates. I’ll post if it I find it (if anyone else knows, or if it’s been posted further back, would you mind sharing?) I remember mine said your specialty directors can reach out like they do at the PA school. Has anyone heard from theirs? I’m kicking myself that I can’t get into my email to find it (gmail is almost too secure sometimes LOL). I’m going to dig through last years thread but I think they talked about it there too.

I cant wait to see everyone in a few months!

Welcome! I was a long time lurker too! I remember reading something about that a while back, maybe in the 2020 or 2021 forum? I'll do some digging as well. I'm glad to hear your interview went well! Some other people said their interviewers essentially told them they were accepted too, so I think it's not super uncommon. We will all find out eventually! Hopefully tomorrow!

Looking forward to meeting you, Darcy! I’m so glad to hear you had a good interview. I loved my interviewer and have spoken to her a couple times since so I’m hopeful about my chances but we’ll see. I was told first week of February (specifically around 2/1) and that we will definitely be told before Admitted Students Day on 2/11.

Ahhh you guys talking about your great interviews and that you got a response from your interviewers is making me so nervous!! ? Thought mine went well but now I’m not so surrree. Ugh I just want to get this waiting behind me ?

I feel you! The more anxious I get waiting on decisions the more I've started second guessing my interview! But just remember that you were confident in your interview when you did it and its just stress getting to you! 

Also the way my interviewer was talking about it it made it sound like they don’t really have an input in the decisions. They basically just write short hand what you said and the discussions you guys had and then they send it off to admissions and that's the end for them. So whether they responded to your thank you email or had communications afterwards, it sounds like it doesn't have a weight really
