Any current GEPNs on here? I'm curious as to how the financial aid works.  I've got an EFC of $3500/yr, hoping they'll have generous packages for financial need.

I'm super curious, where are you all from?! And if you don't live there anymore, where are you staying now? How many siblings do you have, if any? What's your favorite thing to do after finishing a stressful week?(mine is sleeeeeping and dancinggg hehe). What's something that you're pretty good at but don't enjoy too much Hahaha. What do you all miss the most pre-covid times? I'm curious about who you all are! please let me know if you're up to it ?

I’ve heard it’s not great but they do have loan forgiveness programs that they can help us get connected to after graduation… I’ve heard a lot of 6 figure debt for grads

This is fun! I’m from Seattle but I’m living in SoCal to finish my senior year. I also love sleeping after a stressful week. I enjoy baking and cooking as well. I’m pretty good at organization and planning but I don’t enjoy doing it (it’s too much maintenance hehe). I’m an only child but my parents raised 7 of my cousins with me. I REALLY miss traveling. What about you?

I'm from Scottsdale, AZ! I'm the oldest of three (have a sister and brother).

I'm pretty laid back so I tend to spend my weekends relaxing at home, but I do enjoy outdoor activities (hiking, fishing, shooting, wakeboarding, etc).

Currently I work in sales, which I am pretty good at although I don't enjoy it very much.  I definitely enjoy problem solving for customers, although I don't get paid on it ;(

What I miss the most about pre-covid times is the normalcy of freely interacting with people.  I am very outgoing and love to talk with people when I am out at the store, gas station, or anywhere LOL.  I can be hard of hearing, and when I speak to people in a mask it can be difficult for me to hear what they're saying when I can't read their lips.

What about Yale are you most excited about?

Also, what activities in New Haven do you plan on engaging in?

I’m an only child from & currently living in Southern California. I love hanging out at home with my dogs reading or watching tv and having some tasty wine at the end of a stressful day/week! I appear confident during public speaking but I absolutely hate doing it and feel like I’m dying inside ?

Besides traveling freely and not worrying about safety protocols, I really miss not wearing masks all the time! Like @yalegepn2021, I have some hearing issues and often cannot understand what people are saying behind a mask. Also, maskne & the inability to apply lip balm without it getting on your mask..

About Yale, I’m excited to live on the opposite coast and meet new people at YSN! I’m hoping to find a large, diverse, and welcoming queer/trans community, caring faculty mentors, and myriad dog lovers in New Haven ❤️

Any other future Yalies who are dog parents?

I'd love to have a pup (would get a Samoyed), but I'd feel sad about leaving her at home for potentially 12 hours while I'm on a clinical. Maybe after GEPN year I'd feel more comfortable about getting one :_)

Yeah I’m gonna have to find a doggy daycare for those days -_- at least it’s a temporary thing.

Why a Samoyed? So cute!

I have a one year old border collie mini poodle!! So a lot of energy but love hearing about fellow dog parents.

Sams have always been my favorite breed, my Grandpa had one when I was younger and she was such a beautiful and friendly dog. The pups look like little polar bears :)))

What breed of dog do you have?

I love border collies and had a family mini poodle! They’re so smart. I cannot wait to meet your dog!

They do look like polar bears! And I’ve read good things about their temperament as a family dog.

I have a senior rescue yorkie. Will definitely bring her to YSN events for everyone to meet her if allowed/if they admit me ?

Happy Monday!

Do we have confirmation that February 1 is the day? I went through all of my emails and can't find anything... Post interview I was feeling good but that feeling is fading ? . Hope we all get to meet!!
