Yale GEPN 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.

@Cprincesa I definitely hear you - I have to say though, the uncertainty for me is more challenging than being able to start the planning, so I'm looking forward to just having an answer! That said, this has been a fun kind of anticipation - I keep getting butterflies in my stomach and it's exciting to think about the potential for this to really happen (and nerve-racking for sure, for all of the reasons you mentioned!). I am for sure happy that we can put our focus on one day.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

This is my first post on allnurses. I had to say something because I feel so resonant with all you guys have been saying - I’m bubbling over with excitement and nerves and butterflies waiting to hear back from Yale. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for keeping us informed about the timeline! So so soon!! ? Best of Luck to everyone! ??

Welcome Achip!

As all of you, I am waiting with a mix of emotions.

I am swamped with work and have been pretty sick for 2 weeks (including an ambulance trip to the ER) so that did give me some time in bed to reflect on priorities in life:))  and also took my mind off Yale--but not 100%.

I have been madly interpreting with my partner each line and word in my interviewer's kind reply to my thank you note....it goes like this: Honey, if she wrote see you soon, does that mean I'm in?... but on the other hand, she didn't write anything else, does this mean I'm out? was she just being polite? At this stage, my partner is handing me a glass of wine and rolling their eyes--- Good times:))

Thank you GreenMagus for letting us know about Jana's reply!!

Good luck everyone, have a great weekend!

Hi all! I have been a silent observer of this group for a while but I wanted to pop in and say hello! I’m so grateful to you all for sharing your experiences through this stressful application process. I definitely relate to the back and forth thoughts and I’m dying for a decision already! Can everyone share what specialty you applied for or other schools you also applied to? Is Yale your top choice? Best of luck to you all and I hope we can meet each other as Yale nursing students!

Glad you're here! Limbo-misery loves company ?

I applied for nurse midwifery. I also applied to the direct-entry program (NM track) at Vanderbilt, plus two "ABSN" type generalist programs that are local to me. Yale is my top choice, barring a massive scholarship somewhere else (extremely not likely).

I also applied to Vanderbilt but for the psychiatric mental health track. Good luck! ? I’m hoping we hear back soon!
