Hi everyone! Now that applications are starting to open for this cycle I thought I would start a thread. Is there anyone else that is starting the Yale GEPN application? If so, are you as overwhelmed as I am? Also, if there are any current GEPN students that see this thread, feel free to share any tips or your current experiences :) Thank you!
Hi everyone! I have found this thread so helpful! I'm applying to the Women's Health/Midwifery specialty! What an exciting time! Just starting to look into scholarships etc. Does anyone have any advice on specific ones to apply to? I would appreciate any tips! Trying to finish up my application to OHSU at the moment but I really need to start looking into financial aid etc.

The website says the application this year should open "early 2017" but there is also the option to be notified by email right when the application opens! Otherwise I'd say head to the 2016 forum to guesstimate the dates. I'm looking into both the NHSC and Nurse Corps scholarships too, if anyone else has info please do share.

Regarding the question about the Nurse Corps Scholarship:
Hi Kaj23! I have the Nurse Corps Scholarship and I HIGHLY recommend that everyone apply for it while applying to their programs. I know that it's a lot of applications and a lot of essay writing and a lot of anxiety, but if you get it in the end it takes SO MUCH stress off of your shoulders. I personally almost stopped doing my Nurse Corps application halfway through completing it because I was so frustrated and anxious with the whole process, but thank god I did it in the end. I don't know much about the process after school ends, but right now its really helpful to not have to worry about tuition as much.
