Yale GEPN Applicants 2011

It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

I spoke with Mrs. Esposito Friday I think. She said they made their final decsions for interviews today and that those who are invited will receive an email on the 15th. That could have changed but that's what I heard most recently.

Seriously!!! Any of you getting more nervous that its just around the corner? I was okay with the wait back in November but now I'm petrified!!! :uhoh21:

Will they contact the people who did not get interviews on the 15th also?

From reading old posts...I think we all get emails around the same time, I want to say it took them about a day, day and a half to email everyone. I think the times can vary quite a bit by specialty (again, from stalking the posts from last year)...I wonder why there is the delay between the selection and the email, maybe the coordination of the actual interviews after the selection of who gets them?...I get a bit nervous everytime I get an email!

Hello future nurses! I am a bit late to the party, but now that the stress and pressure of the app process is over, I finally dug myself out of my hole long enough to come up for air and search out other GEPN hopefuls like myself. This is such a great forum for interacting with other future healthcare professional and shooting around ideas, giving inspiration, etc.

I applied to the adult psychiatric mental health track - anyone else out there? Good lcuk to all of you - we can breathe now...or hold our breath =0

Hi Tanya! I applied for the family psychiatric. I just discovered this thread today -- I've been posting elsewhere trying to talk to people about the Yale program. It's funny, because I haven't really found many people who have done psych nursing so I feel like finding information hasn't been too easy. I applied for Columbia and BC also... but Columbia and Yale are my first choices. Any idea how the programs compare? I can't seem to find much about it.

YAY good luck everyone. Three days I guess, huh? Crazy. ::jitters:: it was fine until I found out the invites were supposed to come out this week!

Hi all,

I've been posting on the other 2011 GEPN thread, but I figured I'd post this here too...

The admissions office told me today that emails will be sent at the end of this week for those of us who will be invited to interview.

USPS will bring the bad news to those of us who do not get invited to interview.

Looks like we'll all be holding our breath for a few more days....

End of the week!? So not on the the 15th? On the positive side, I spoke to someone in the program this past weekend, and she said if you do get an interview, your chances of getting in are like 60% -- seems pretty good to me :) Here's to holding our breath!
