Hey Y'all!
I'm Brooke and i'm staring next semester at Wake Tech Community College. I only have on semester left before I start clinicals and I was looking over the program planning guide and I was wondering if I could schedule more than one clinical class per semester. I know I have to take NUR 111 first, but after that, can I schedule say, nut 113 & 212 together? Is that possible? I know that's so far ahead but it's already stressing me out!!

You might want to ask this over in the NC Forum. I think someone over there might be able to help you a little better.

Probably not. Each clinical course needs to be taken concurrently with the theory that goes with it. Most programs are set up as block 1: fundamentals with LTC clinical; block 2: med/surg 1 with hopital med/surg clinical; block 3: OB/Peds and Med/surg 2 with OB and Peds clinical; block 4: psych and critical care with psych and critical care clinical, then capstone/preceptorship for the end. How can you safely practice clinical in a peds unit without any lecture on peds yet? Also, you definitely cant have clinical on psych or a critical care unit without that lecture, so even if you were somehow able to do two clinical classes at the same time, then you would have no clinical for block 4. And your lab classes will teach you skills to be performed in clinical. If you combined your clinical rotations, then you would not get to do as many of the skils that you wouldnt learn until later.
Basically, I highly doubt you can combine clinicals rotations in a single semester and the reasons above are just 2 of many examples. Plus, why would you want to take 2 rotations together? It wont speed up the program because you still have the theory that are all pre requisite courses for the next semester. You would leave yourself with no clinical for one semester, which means no practicing of any learned skills.

You'll need to speak with your school to find out. Most schools have a set curriculum, and once you start, you'll understand why you can't pile on more. Plus, each semester builds on the last.
Also, heads up, you aren't allowed to have RN in your screen name until you're actually a RN. You may also want to change your SN to something more anonymous, as this is a very public forum, and protecting your identity is very important.
