Is there anyone else out there that has applied for the WSU College of Nursing for fall of 2014?
If so, what school are you coming from and which campus did you apply to?

I applied there. I have a BA in a non-nursing field and I am doing the pre-reqs at South Puget Sound Community College. I applied to the Spokane campus. To be honest, WSU is at the bottom of my list (mostly because of location), but since programs are competitive everywhere, I figured I would apply anyway.
Have you taken the TEAS yet? I need to figure out when to do that.
NursingCAS lost one of my transcripts. Had to re-send it. Bit of a pain.
That's a bummer that it lost your transcript, that must have been a hassle :/
I took the Teas test about a month ago. I decided just to wing it without studying to see how I would do, and I got a 79, which is good enough to apply, but I'm going to take it again to be more competitive.
Do you mind me asking what your GPA is? Mine is not that great so I am kind of worried I won't get accepted. I did running start and didn't take my gpa too seriously, so I have a cumulative gpa of about 3.35 now
Spokane isn't that bad, I am here at Whitworth. What other schools did you apply to?
Well, my GPA is kind of complicated! I think my overall undergrad GPA was around 3.4, then I took some graduate classes (so I have a GPA for those), and then I have been taking the pre-reqs at the community college. My GPA there is 3.95, with 4.0 in the required classes.
I am applying to two MSN level programs (PLU and Seattle U), two BSNs (UW and WSU), and then maybe ADN programs if all else fails!
Spokane would just be hard because I am married and my husband is also a student, but there are no programs there he is interested in. If we're in the Seattle/Tacoma area, he has a lot more options.

Hey guys, I'm applying to WSU too! (Spokane) I go to UW, applied there as well and some other places. I'm taking my TEAS test next week.. >.
I am getting ready to take my TEAS right now ( literally). I should be done by 1:00. I feel unprepared.
Best wishes anichka! Breathe =)
I did all right, I think. I am still trying to figure out exactly what the scores mean, but I got in the Advanced category. I was done in about 1.5 hours.
1.5 hours? Doesn't it usually take 3-4? I have never taken it before, is it reading writing math and science?
They give you up to 4 hours. Each section is timed, but it is at your own pace. The shortest section was English (spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc) at 30 minutes. The longest one was science, about 1:10 if I remember correctly. I just worked through everything and was done within 2 hours. It started with reading comp, then math, then science, then English.
It wasn't hard, but some of the science stuff through me for a loop. I haven't taken a general bio class in 20 years or more. I should have reviewed some before the test but I didn't have time. In any case, I still scored about 90% adjusted overall. The scoring is really weird.
It didn't take me the full 4 hours either. Especially the science part because I guessed on most of the questions ha! I scored in the advanced category as well. But I'm going to take it again in a week to be more competitive. Did you study? I need to study more.
HopefulBE, do you mind sharing your gpa and teas score? I'm really worried that I won't get accepted!! That's cool that you go to the UW, a lot of my friends are there. Where else did you apply?
