Hello, I know it's pretty early but, I wanted to see if anyone else is thinking about applying to these two programs next year. I also wanted some feedback on these programs if possible. Thank you!!!

Thank you! I went with WSSU because their program is older and they had better NCLEX scores. WSSU was also the first school to get back to me so I accepted my spot before I heard back from A&T. It's a lot of work and money and some things can be frustrating, but if you want to graduate fast then you just have to deal with it lol.

The class schedule is light for the first few weeks since you start off only taking Intro to Nursing. After 2-3 weeks you will pick up another class called Health Assessment, then 2-3 weeks after that you will finish Intro and start 2-3 other classes. Besides the first month when they ease you into things, you can expect class from 8-5 every Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by at least 24 hours of clinical per week that can be on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Keep your schedule SUPER flexible, since they can change your schedule at the drop of a hat. We have had changes to our clinical schedule with only a few hours notice. Generally, Mondays are left open for you to study. But occasionally they will put you on a Monday clinical if needed.
In other words, you will be very, very busy and have an unpredictable schedule for 14 months.

It said mid-October on WSSU's website but I was looking at other threads and people got their decisions Oct. 18 so I'm hoping in two weeks.

I have but I was notified about 2 weeks ago that my application would not receive a decision unless I turned in a North Carolina Nurse Aide license which I’m not going to do. I’ve heard many people got in without it and I even called during the summer to see if I had to apply with it and they said no, they get applications without it all the time.
The issue is that I live in VA and have my nurse aid license here. NC does not do transfers so I would have to travel there and sit for the exam and that just seems like too much for me to not even know whether I’ll be going to NCAT or not. I was totally ok with doing that if I got into the school and decided to go.
