We generally have 2-3 days in the classroom and two days in clinical per week, although it varies by the class(es).
You do get 3 day weekends fairly often, unless you have clinical on weekends. Again, varies by class but I would say it's been at least half!
Baptist doesn't do the scholarship anymore. We do have some clinicals there, but they stopped that program the year before us. On top of that, my year is supposedly the last year that the Robert Wood Johnson scholarship will be offered. Two years ago, half of the class was fully funded through the program, but neither of those will be available for the next class. Sorry about that, but there are plenty of others to apply for!
I got a bachelor of science in biology and a BA in Hispanic linguistics. Half of the students in our program have biology or exercise science degrees and the other half have things totally unrelated to nursing - communication, outdoor rec, education, etc. Some had absolutely no prior exposure to the medical field, but the first clinical is about getting you caught up on CNA skills so everyone will be on the same page.
Hi everyone! I applied as well. did anyone get an email confirming their application was received?? I'm so nervous. Hope I get in! it's the only school I applied to that starts in the spring. I have a previous bachelors in recreational therapy from WCU with a 3.0
I did not get an e-mail, either. I don't think they send confirmations out. I sent my application "return receipt request" through the post office to make sure someone had to sign for my envelope- I wasn't taking any chances!
I didn't get an email confirmation. I hope they didn't send email confirmation because that will mean that my application was not received. Prior to the deadline I tried to called and see if they did get the application, but then I got redirected and got the voicemail instead.
