Hi,
I have started the process in applying for FNP online programs. For the application process, I need to submit a "writing sample." I called th SON, and was told to submit a paper I have wrote to show I can write in a sentence, paragraph and APA format. No particular topic. I've been out of school for 7 years!! I'm not exactly sure what to write, and feel like they would be looking for more. I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any experience, suggestions or ideas on what to submit. Thanks in advance!!

Do as they say. Don't second guess them. If they don't want a particular topic write about something that is passionate for you, even if it's hugging a tree. Make sure to check for typos.
Thanks for your input!

The fact that it can be on anything is to your advantage. Just have someone familiar with APA format critique it. You could use a research paper from nursing school or something similar (but that may be too long if there are length requirements). Since you can write about anything, just make it memorable.
Just my opinion, good luck!
