I am a nursing student and I'm about to go on my first placement. I was wondering what watch I should wear. I was concerned that wrist watches pose possible infection risks, also worried about it catching on elderly clients skin.
Are lanyard watches a good idea or do they get in the way?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

Tried all three and found mostly the fob watch the best if secure!
Lanyard watch gets in the way - yes!
Wrist watch = skintears, possible infection (has to be waterproof!).
Lucky at the moment big clocks on the walls all with second hands!
Good luck!
Thanks Mister Chris.

Lanyard watches are great, if you can pop it in your pocket when you are doing procedures, great for obs!
