Hello all,
I'm doing a presentation for one of my classes on wound care. One of things that has to be included is portable wound suction devices. The only thing I cound find were wound VACs. Are there any other types of portable wound suctions? Thanks in advance.

KCI's wound vac is what we use in our system.
this site shows a vac system which hooks onto the wall not made by KCI and it is not portable

As far as I know, the only company with a "portable" vac unit is KCI. Bluesky and Prospera do not have a portable unit, yet.

Smith & Nephew have a negative pressure wound vac that can hook onto a pole or w/c.

Since you only have to include one portable wound vac why search any further than KCI? They are the gold standard in wound vacs, portable or otherwise. The site includes teaching information.
