Would it be worth it to complain about this?

Two weeks ago I was asked to take some extra shifts. I put myself in for two, one this week and one next week. Last week a bonus program was reinstated because of the flu outbreak.(They used to have one but is was discontinued in September.) My extra shifts are not covered because they were booked before the bonus program was reinstated. grrrrrrrr

Congratulations on getting the one shift covered by the bonus. I think you did the right thing by asking in a positive way and accepting the bonus for the one shift and not the other. You were able to improve your situation while probably doing no damage to your relationships. That's not being a doormat, that's being politically savy. It will get you a long way in your career.

As far as I am concerned, any compromise from which both parties goes away happy is a good one.
