Would they work with me & my husband?

Hello,

I am an LVN expecting to have my RN in about 2 years. My to-be-shortly-husband is going for his Radiologic technologist license. I was wondering if we did travel nursing/radiology together, would they be willing to send us to the same places? I figured since we'd share an apartment and stuff it'd be worth it to them. But I have no idea how these things work. Could a seasoned traveler please answer my question? thanks.

You just need to find an agency that staffs for both fields. And they do exist.

It would not make a difference to the agency if you both worked for them or not, you would get the difference in the housing costs added to your paycheck for one of you. So, it doesn't make it better for the agency, it is still costing them the same, whether they give it to an apt complex, or give it to yo. It belongs to you, not them.

First, by the time you are ready to travel, there could be a whole lot of changes in the Travel Business. What any agency does today, could and probably will be very different in about 4yrs.

First, I say four years, because it will take at least two years before "most" new nurses are ready to travel, and before a lot of hospitals will even consider you.

Second, there are hospitals, that will not hire traveling couples, just to let you be aware, this is a possibility. Many agency will work with Nurses, and those in the allied health fields, no problem there.

Third, your housing will depend on the circumstances, and if one of you takes the Tax Advantage, you can not both take it. Just an FYI, as Travelers have been known to get into trouble with this. JMO
