Would they tell me? (MCCD program related)

Published

I want to call and meet with an advisor in the next little while to get some questions answered. One of the things that I want to ask is if they could tell me where I'm at on the waitlist. I'm trying to make some decisions that are important and kind of require knowing whether I'm gonna get in for fall semester or not. I don't want to get my hopes up and ask that question to them and have them tell me that they don't know that information or something along those lines. Have any of you ever been able to have that question answered for you?

Thanks!

When I was waiting to be placed I pretty much figured out on my own where I was in the wait. If you know your number then you can look at the white board and figure out who's been placed etc. and how far you have to go. You also know how many people are ahead of you and how many openings at the different schoos there are. It's a rough estimate, but sometimes that's all you've got. Just keep in mind that when they say things can change last minute, it's definitely true. One of the girls in my class was placed a couple of days before the semester started. Someone else had deferred at the last minute and she got in. You don't really know if you'll get placed until the semester's started, because they place people up until the day school starts.

Good luck,

Keli

or you could just log into maricopa's nursing website and that'll tell you your exact number and number waiting:

Where do they tell you your exact number? (I don't know where to look) That would help tremendously, thanks!

you have to log in for it to work....

You can see the number of applications currently waiting on the website when you log in. They don't tell you what number you are on the waiting list, they only show your date and time stamp. Like Calzonan said, if you knew what the number of applications waiting were when you originally put in yours, you could roughly estimate where you stand by calculating the number of applications and number of openings at the different schools. The advisors will not tell you when you will be placed, but I had the most luck with the advisors at Gateway as far as getting some guidelines for the wait time based on when I applied.

Good luck Hollybop.
