Would you recommend your online RN to BSN program?

Nursing Students Online Learning

I am an RN, looking into getting an online BSN. To those of you currently enrolled or who have graduated from such a program- Would you recommend it to others?

Why or why not?

What online program are you attending/did you attend?

I would love to hear any and all replies!

Specializes in ER and family advanced nursing practice.
I will be graduating in 03/2009 from Graceland University's School of Nursing. I have had a great experience. There is one focus session that is 4 days that you have to come to the Kansas City campus. Everyone is very helpful and helps you stay focused. http://www.graceland.edu/

I too go to Graceland University, and I am quite happy with it. I am doing the RN to MSN/FNP track, and I have about 1 year left (For a total of 3 years upon completion). The instructors are passionate about nursing. I am almost done with my first clinical rotation, and I feel good about my choice.

Hope that helps,

Ivan

Good grief, no ... I start tomorrow! :D So I really can't answer any of your questions yet -- sorry!

You did decide on Chamberlain?? I am trying to decide between Chamberlain and thomas Edison at this point-Let me know how it goes so I can make an informed decision.thank you

Yep, I decided on Chamberlain after almost too much research. ;) It's expensive -- more than TESC -- but it was the best fit for me.

How long is it going to take you to graduate?? i understand that they are pretty generous with transferring credits. I have about 124 credits, but no math i am a little scared about taking the math, but it is a necessary evil- i know that they are a bit pricey, but the classes at thomas Edison are 12 weeks long..Not sure I want them to be that long I would like to finish in a year or so. Were they generous in your credit transfers??

I don't know how long it'll take me -- depends on how many courses I take at a time. Yes, they were generous with transferring credits, but I have more than 200 credits, including college algebra and statistics. Nursing classes at Chamberlain are 8 weeks long.
