Would you put a convention you attended on a resume?

There's a convention coming up for emergency care in TX that I am going to attend. I wanted to put this on my resume because I want to work in the emergency care field. I'm in a different unit right now but would like to go to emergency care in the near future. Would anyone recommend I put this on my resume? Also if it is recommended where would you put it under? Personal development? A different heading?

You would never be wrong to add this to your resume. I would recommend using the heading "Professional Development" if you do discuss it there. However, I think a better place to discuss the convention is in your cover letter.
