Would healthcare be considered a "hospital setting"?

Published

I'm currently a LVN, but I'm going back to become a RN. I worked at a healthcare setting for 5 years and volunteered at various hospitals in college, and high school. When I graduate from the RN program, will my previous work experience count as a "hospital setting"? The job resumes I'm looking at require a year or more of experience in a "hospital setting".

Have you ever worked as an LVN in the hospital setting? In all likelihood, these job applications are attempting to determine whether you have acute care hospital experience as a nurse.

If you were not hired as a LPN in a hospital, then no volunteer experience would not count as hospital experience.
