It takes longer to chart than see the pt. My HH agency wont even consider an updated computer program because of the cost. But I feel it would save time for all the worker in the office. Any idea's on how to make them see the light.

I would try to find a company that does computer charting. I know Nightingale Home Care is computerized. Their website is http://www.homecareforyou.com. Hope that helps!

So far I've only worked for companies that don't do computer charting yet. I have not found any charting forms that are difficult and don't have any problems with charting other than getting it done and turned in on time. That is only because I procrastinate a little and let fatigue tell me I'm too tired to finish my charting from the shift. As far as I'm concerned, the office staff, if properly organized shouldn't have any problems either. The only persons that get their eyes worn out are the supervisors who read our notes to make sure our charting is up to par. I don't look forward to doing charting by computer. Even though I may procrastinate, I can get most of my charting done in the home and don't want anything else to complicate matters. I'm too concerned with a laptop being stolen from me. So I don't care if my employers never go to computer charting.
