Working in multiple departments

I just got hired on as a PCT in a hospital, part time, and I want to fill my schedule up and get another part time job. I applied for a part time a part time job at another location (I work at the west hospital and applied at the main hospital if that makes sense) in a different specialty.

I am new to hospitals in general so I wasn't sure if it was possible to work multiple part time positions.

Thoughts? I currently work PRN at the nursing home I have been at for 9 months and want to quit that position and pick up another hospital position. Thanks!

Not sure of your specific situation. A little confused about the west vs main hospital. If they are aware of you working both facilities and are okay with it, it shouldn't be a problem.

The issue is you not screwing up your schedule . Being at work in one facility, getting a phone call from your other job saying where are you, you're scheduled to work here today. Also you may end up working every weekend, and a lot of holidays, etc.

If your second job is for the same employer, overtime may also be an issue. They're unlikely to "fill up your schedule" if they have to pay time and a half.
