Working a job while studying for NCLEX

Published

Taking time off of work when studying for you NCLEX is not always feasible but if you can do it, then by all means DO IT! But If you failed the first time perhaps you may find yourself in a position where you're running low on funds fast.

That's where I am currently. I am studying for my second run at the NCLEX (which will hopefully be my last attempt). However I can't hide from the fact that I'm low on funds because I am still not working. My question to you lovely readers is this: What job could I pursue that will land me in a hospital setting? I want a job that will give me hospital experience which will in turn fuel my nursing ambitions and give me some money to get by. I'm not looking for a payday right now; just a humble salary while I continue prepping for the NCLEX.

I've thought of challenging the CNA exam or perhaps even challenging the Paramedic exam. Or is there perhaps another alternative that I'm unaware of? I live in Florida by the way. Are there any other soon-to-be-nurses in my position or seasoned nurses that can share their wisdom? I will greatly appreciate your advice. :)
