I agree that everyone is different and it depends on what you can handle, time management skills, support from family, etc. I just started 3rd semester and have and will continue to work 36hrs a week. I work weekend nights so I have a lot of down time that I can study there. I also have 2 kids under 4 and a husband that is very supportive. I miss out on a lot but I'm over halfway done and it is just temporary. Good luck!

I'm about to begin my program this January and was wondering what thoughts the more experienced nurses and students have on this issue. During my undergrad, I was able to work 3 jobs, take 18 credit hours and pass, participate in Greek life and be active in a few clubs. Now as I am starting my nursing career, I am looking at being a full time student and a full time employee.
What advice or recommendations do you all have for students in my situation who need to continue to work while we complete our education?
Thanks!!
