helloAnyone work in Wakemed ED??
Rob are you thinking of applying for the LPN ED position? I am currently in orientation this week at Wakemed as a RN on 5b. The HR people told us yesterday that Wakemed recieves 3500-4000 application EVERY week. So just know that your will be in competition with Thousands of other people. I have never worked in their ED but they see an average of 300 people a day there. 140,000 people a year. These were some of the stats they were telling us yesterday. Good Luck, and know that it is Extremly hard to get on there.

Yes, I am considering it. I'm a very experineced LPN with ED experience so that should help, we'll see.
I heard the other day that a man being seen was in the triage yelling to everyone that he was "Barack Obama!" Would have loved to had seen that one.I'm sure that would have made my day!
LOL I would have asked him for a bailout.
One night we had a old lady come in that was loosing her mind, she was calling the doctor the devil and in her mind he was. It was sad for the daughter because while they were trying to commt her to cherry she was yelling "I am God" Daughter was tore of over it.
