Hai Nurses
Am a male nurse from India, completed 3 years diploma course here in India
I wish to work in UK, but i have ielts only 6.5 and i know i cant reg with this score
But i heard that i can work in Nursing homes or Care homes
Many agencies here in India r recruiting for the same.
but i cant trust those agencies, they are asking a huge amount of money too
Am ready to work hard even in care homes...anybody can help me?
Is the care homes have the right to issue work permit to foreign nurses?

As I have said before unemployment is at one of it's highest in the UK for many years and UK residents have to come first. You must meet NMC requirements and pass English exam without the NMC you can not work as a nurse in the UK. Care workers will not meet work permit requirements. The agencies are just taking your money and abusing you

Before you can work as a nurse in the UK you have to register with the NMC the standard for nursing is the same in every environment so if you don't meet the NMC standards then you are not able to work as a nurse. Care homes have the same requirements for nursing registration.
Additionally, there is a job shortage in the UK and there are recruitment freezes in many hosptials so unless you have skills in a specialist area that is listed on the shortage occupation list then you will not get a work visa
The only agency that can issue a work permit is the UK borders agency, care homes cannot give you a permit to work.

what is NMC?
NMC is Nursing &Midwifery Council and the UK nurses governing body. To work as a nurse anywhere in the UK you need to have a license issued by the NMC and meet their requirements
thank you silverdragon102
