  1. apron is not really needed
  2. white duty uniform for ladies: white uniform (pants is allowed), white shoes, cap (you may use your school cap) * if you will be wearing the dress-like uniform use white stockings. for men: your usual duty uniform bring pencils and calculator =)
  3. @ tron22 and jms8: thank you much. i guess that's clearer now. no wonder the exam was more than 2 hours. hope you made it guys. my prayers are with you.
  4. OMG! how hard is hard? I hope you made it eventhough the exam is like that. If you don't mind me/us asking, what's the type of exam and about what. i wonder if it's still the same type of exam the HR had told me. Thank you and Goodluck!
  5. Thank you for the information. Last year when I passed my requirements (which was not accepted because of the board certificate thing), i also asked what is the exam all about. The HR gladly told me that, if i recalled it correctly, the exam is much more like of the NLE exam type. Computations and there's also a personality test. Unless they changed it, that would be the exam. None who has actually took the exam has shared yet their experience. Hoping there would be before you guys take the exam.
  6. Hello! Nice to hear that you already submitted your requirements. Was the board certificate still NEEDED? Goodluck to your exam. Hope to hear from you. And oh, was the exam for the volunteer nurse position?
  7. @felicitypaul: Better to drop by for your exam schedule. Go straight to the NURSING TRAINING HALL DIVISION (near OPD). Have your name listed and have your exam schedule. Requirements are also posted. HOWEVER, only those who will pass the exam will move to the next step. That is passing the needed requirements and interview process. Mind you, some do really fail in the interview. the experience is all worth it most especially when you know you haven't paid any for the training. downside? you will feel a little abused. after four years of study and the board exam you have to work with no pay at all. just look on the positive side. you gain experience and you're 1 step higher from where you were before. just a little word of advise: it's a 60:40 competition. 60 goes to the direct dependents or relatives of AFPMC or those in the military while 40 are for the walk ins. out of the 2000 examinees, only 100+ will have the chance to get the slot. review well. exam is more of like the NLE. They also injected Select All That Apply of NCLEX. Computation is like 10 items. So better practice those drugs and IV computation. To all aspiring RN-Residents, Goodluck. As far as I know, application is May-June of 2010.
  8. There's no such thing as training fee. If you pass the exam likewise the interview then you're in. goodluck to all =)
  9. really? is that for June 2009 batch board certificate? now they understand. of all hospitals they are the only ones looking for such. hmp! now i have to make another effort. thanks!
  10. I took the boards june 2009. I inquired 1st or 2nd week of January 2010. What's available is November 2008 board certificate. According to those i spoke with, it will take about 6 months to 1 year to have the said certificate. Likewise, man from window 17 in PRC told me to call too. As for the number, kindly PM me. We are not allowed to post phone numbers here....
  11. much better if you'll call the office. however, i doubt if they'll entertain you with expired BLS. just try to put yourself in their shoes. if you were the employer and i am the applicant and am going to present you an expired training, will you accept me? you are not alone in this situation. mine will expire this September. we are just few of those around 600,000 nurses who have the challenge. be patient enough. if you think you already exerted effort more than what is being asked of you, think again. it's good to sometimes vent out our sentiments, especially with the career path we've chosen. but hospitals won't care at all. :) in the end it's still your choice.
  12. your welcome. not yet as i don't have my board certificate. it's not yet available for release in PRC. as for the process, kindly do back reading. thanks.
  13. as for previous posts regarding the volunteer thing and abused nurses... you made your point guys. however, with the current situation, few voices is not enough. this is a big issue. am not saying am a pro nurse volunteer, heck no! doing your ideas will take a lot of courage, power and determination. we need someone who has that passion for this. as for the mvmc requirements, here's the list: (unless there are any changes, this one will be followed. got this november of 2009) 1. letter of intent (addressed to the chief nurse) 2. comprehensive resume 3. diploma 4. tor 5. prc certificate (the one that states you passed the board) and prc license 6. board certificate and board rating 7. bls training certificate 8. birth certificate 9. pna membership 10. iv training certificate and license 11. marriage contract (if applicable) 12. nbi or police clearance 13. id picture - blue blackground (2 copies of 1x1 and 2 copies of 2x2) >submit photocopy of all requirements (updated) in a blue long sliding folder. bring original copies for verification. ****be sure to pass complete requirements or your efforts will be put to waste....**** hope it helped. and for those who had their experience with mvmc, kindly share it. thanks!
  14. how funny, we've gone through the same process. yes, the guy from the HR is very accomodating. he also explained to me those. i was there first week of December 2009. However, as clearly as i can remember, the training is 3 mos as volunteer. from there your performance will be evaluated and if you're good, another 6 months as probationary. another eval if am not mistaken for staff nurse position after 6 mos. i went at PRC 1st week of January 2010 and no june 2009 certificate is out yet. The guy at window 17 told me to call their office to ask again. and as for feedbacks from earlier batches, it will take 6 months to 1 year before releasing. i agree with you that it's a nice facility. maybe we'll come back by june of this year. hoping that our certificates are out then. i hope someone who really have gone through the process will read this and help us. there will be like 4 or 5 interviews before you get your position as volunteer nurse. :icon_roll
  15. hi official02. honestly, they are asking much for the requirements. much than any other hospitals and i don't know why. that is why am asking who have been into the process after submitting all the requirements. atleast we'll know what to do next. have you tried applying there already?
