Hi excellents nurses! I'm a foreigner nurse and im already haveas 6 years of current work experience in the operating room wth a concentration in trauma-orthopedic surgery and i really want to know if this experience that I got is valid to work as a traveling nurs cause they requeriments of those company's are that you have had a minimum of one year of critical care experience! It's my current experience valid to apply for this kind of job! I'm really appreciate in advance for all of you that can help me! Bye bye

OR is a very specialized area. You definitely meet the requirements to travel as an OR nurse. However, it may not be considered critical care. Most of the facilities I work at would not consider OR experience the same as ICU, CVICU, or CCU experience. The best thing to do is ask your recruiter. Good luck.

I think the phrase may be "acute care hospital" experience. You have it and more! OR nursing is one of the specialties most in demand. Any agency will be lucky to have you.

Travel nurses are expected to hit the floor running and having no knowledge on how US nurses works i think you may find issues. Other issue I see is work permit/visa. Do you have one?
