Work in healthcare while taking RN pre reqs

I have an opportunity to train in a hemo dialysis faciltiy for 3 months while taking my pre req courses for RN

up to this point i have had no idea what part of Nursing i would be most effective in

but now that i have doen quire a bit of research on Dialysis tech and also Dialysis RN

i have developed a strong interest in dialysis .

i would like input from experienced Nurses as well as all levels of student Nurses.

I do Have few questions i would like addressed .

At what point in nurseing school can i look toward dialysis as an RN.

Will the experience i gain as a dialysis tech help in actually getting into

a Nurse Program in the college i am taking pre req classes at .

Will being a dialysis tech distract from my nurse studies .

I would greatly appreciate all input and experiences From Nurses as well

as Student Nurses One last question what are the chances of getting a job

in Dialysis as an RN once i do become an RN.

My nursing school did not have rotations at a dialysis center. Sure, we briefly touched about dialysis during Med-Surg class, but it was not full and in-depth.

Any experience in the health care field looks good on your resume for nursing school.

Being a dialysis tech will only distract you if you are not good at organization and juggling time to study for school and work-time.
