I have an interview for Wolford in August anyone else got a letter and interview date yet?
I'm not sure how many will interview. I've spoken with a few students from the program and some say they received their acceptance letters within 1-2 weeks aftrer the interview and one told me she interviewed under special circumstances and was given the acceptance right then and there. So, not sure what they'll do this time around. Good luck mildcigar, I say stay on top of everything by checking in with them to assure all of your info is in. I'm sure they were tired of me calling, but Hey, it gave me peace of mind. Keep us updated.
Did you do any email correspondence with them? I've sent them a couple of emails (which have yet to be responded to) asking if they rec'd my transcripts, etc. My thinking that this would be less bothersome than a phone call for them. However it looks like I'm going to have break down and call and bother them.
I'm feel slightly neurotic calling and checking on things, but so much of the future is riding on the application. I'm sure they get plenty of phone calls from anxious prospective students such as myself.
Mildcigar,
People calling to verify that everything is in I would assume is a "norm" for them. I sent everything certified, first class, so I know they got it next day ( I am always a little overkill...I know) I emailed once to ask some questions as well a week later, which I recieved feedback within three days. The letter came a couple months after everything was sent in. It is definitely anxiety inducing, all the waiting... Hang in there : ) How long have you been in nursing, etc.... ? Can you PM yet?
I have a few more posts to go until I can PM someone. I've been in nursing 10+ years. I'm currently working in a busy public hospital in Los Angeles.
I'm sure part of my anxiety is that I'm more than ready for a change of pace, and while I think I'm fairly well qualified, you never know exactly what the admissions committe wants. All my patience was used up waiting for almost 2 months for a M.D. to return a reference form for Wolford and another school. To get my form back it took numerous emails and pages (and even then I barely rec'd it in time to comply with an admission deadline at the other school).
I'll call Wolford tomarrow and confirm they have rec'd everything. Then nothing to do but wait by the mailbox.
Mildcigar,
I can sympathize with ya, getting the recs back from everyone wore me down! I felt like I was boderline harrassing them! You have alot of experience : ) so I think they will take that into account. You are right, sometimes there seems no rhyme or reason to what the admin comittee is looking for : so many variables to consider . I have been in critical care nearly seven years now, and I too am ready for the next step. I hope to see you at the interview!
I ended up getting a positive response and am interviewing in September.
Does anyone have a feeling about how the Wolford interviews work? It was my general impression that they were fairly low key/informational. Also any ideas what percentage of people who are interviewed get offered admission?

Mildcigar-
I think it took about a month or two to get a letter for interview. You may receive one sooner though because they are in August/September. I just booked my flight, coming from Chicago. I am a little nervous as well, but as prepared as I can be at this point. I hope that a letter or email finds its way to you soon : ) keep us posted!
