  1. The interview is not as nerve racking as other interviews. Very personable (like why do you want to be a CRNA, what have you done to prepare, what type of unit, etc), there were no clinical questions. I am finishing up my first semester and despite of all negative post that's listed, I'm learning alot.
  2. lovescoffee, if you decide to move to Orlando let me know. Maybe we could do the commuting together. If I have someone to commute with for the 3 semesters of didactic, I wouldn't move to the Davenport area until clinicals start. So, keep me posted
  3. Classes are two days a week. I will do this at least for the first semester, so I wont have to disrupt my kids from school. Their school gets out in June. So, I should be fine. I have two potential people that I maybe commuting with. One is in Orlando and the other in Tampa. I'm just excited about starting school, so everything I will do whatever it takes to make it work. Keep me posted on what you are doing. I'm looking forward to meeting you. I choose Davenport because of what I've heard about so many people staying in Naples.
  4. I will be starting this Spring and commuting from Jacksonville,Fl. Which clinical site did you choose? I picked Davenport. Looking forward to meeting my classmates.
  5. luckycharmrn Yes I am very excited and very nervous. The CRNA that did one of my references called me about two weeks ago and told me that Wolford called her and asked her a few questions about me. I was kinda shocked because I didn't know that they would actually contact references. Don't know if thats good or bad. I can't wait for this process to be done and over with. Hopefully after this post we can send a PM and work out details. Yayyyyyy! We're almost there. I know you are excited. Will you be coming with any family?
  6. luckycharmrn I will get in early Sunday morning and will be staying with one of the students already in her 3rd semester. She lives about 2 miles from the school. Maybe we can all do dinner Sunday night. Yeah I've noticed the same thing with the apartment hunting as well. The student I will be staying with will be moving out of her condo end of Oct or early Nov. So, I've spoken with the landlord and 1. if I get in and 2.if she hasn't rented it out by Dec, I will gladly rent it. Hopefully we'll be able to PM each other before we get there so we can meet up.
  7. Cograts on the interview! Hopefully we'll be starting together in Feb.
  8. I'm not sure how many will interview. I've spoken with a few students from the program and some say they received their acceptance letters within 1-2 weeks aftrer the interview and one told me she interviewed under special circumstances and was given the acceptance right then and there. So, not sure what they'll do this time around. Good luck mildcigar, I say stay on top of everything by checking in with them to assure all of your info is in. I'm sure they were tired of me calling, but Hey, it gave me peace of mind. Keep us updated.
  9. mildcigar just check in with (moderator edit of name - please do not post names on the public boards - you can communicate this privately) at wolford and she'll be able to let you know. from what she said they will continue the interviews until all the seats are filled.
  10. Which hotel are you staying at. I haven't made reservations yet, but will be there on Saturday morning and am planning to look at apartments that day as well. I don't think its premature at all to be somewhat prepared. I'm soooo excited, just spoke with a student that will be going into her 4th semester and she says that every second shes studying. The first semester she said your in class basically 2 almost twelve hours days. Well I don't have enough post for you to PM yet, so we'll be in touch before out interview.
  11. I am about 5 hours away in Jacksonville,Fl. What day are you coming in luckycharmrn? Maybe we can meet up over the weekend. I am planing on touring the area and looking into apartments while I am there. Mildcigar 2001 after I mailed in everything I called a few times to make sure there was nothing that I was missing, and probably within the week I received my letter.
  12. Yes, I will interview in August. Will you be coming from out of state?
  13. Congrats!!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Haven't heard anything yet.
  14. When did you find out? Did you receive your letter already? Or did they call you?
  15. Did you interview at FHCHS? If so, have you heard anything back from them. I interviewed last thursday and still waiting to hear back. Just didn't know how long they took to make a decision.
