Wish me luck!

The time has come, I am actively looking for a job. I have an appointment to see someone this week and have several leads on other positions that sound interesting. I am a little unsettled, I have not worked in 2 years, hubby has kept me busy and sister with their various medical problems and operations. I know I have to "sell" myself and my skills again, so even though I feel I can still perform, it is a little daunting to be actively looking for work.

I guess a big part of this is knowing, if things go anywhere near as planned, I will be moving to a completely different part of WV. Yes, I am going to leave my mountain-top and head to a little more populated area. Funny to think I will have people for neighbors instead of deer, bear, foxes, cows and horses. It is just too much for hubby to continue to try and do the things that need to be done up here.

I spoke to the board about my CEU's and I am good shape, I have taken 30 to 40 units each year for the past 2 years, so nothing extra is required. I do need to do CPR again, but I do not feel that is a problem. I just want to return to med/surg for awhile. I know every facility has different machines for IV's and glucose checks, so I expect to have to learn how to use those.

Anyway, keep a good thought for me and say a prayer or two if possible. I hope everyone here has a good weekend. :heartbeat :) :)

Good luck in your new job. I have a friend that works in the cardiac ICU in Parkersburg, but she is starting anesthesia school this spring, so she will be leaving. I'm currently in DC in anesthesia school but I cannot wait to get back home to WV.
