Anybody have any experience with St. Joes Hospital in Marshfield? We may move there. I know that it is a much, much bigger hospital than I currently work for, but is it a good hospital.

Thanks.

i don't know what it's like to work there but my dad has had several heart surgeries there and eveyone has been extremely nice.it seems to be a well run hospital.good luck if you decide to move!

I worked at St. joe's for over six years and left to move out of state. Now, I have just recieved an offer there and will be going back ASAP :balloons: . I found that I missed it more than I thought I would. I can't say enough good about the place.

I've been working there to get me through nursing school. It all depends on what department you are going into. I've only heard good things about 3N (cardiac unit). If you want other info let me know. Good luck!

I recently accpeted a position with St. Joe's. I won't start until May, I graduate on May 14th. I am looking forward to working there, they have treated me very well and I have a sense of feeling at home when I'm there.

Moonshadeau, I would love to here if you moved there. You had PM'd me a while ago about where I was from, I live 17 miles south of the Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior, about 3 hours north of Marshfield.

I work in the OR and have been here almost 9 years and was hired right out of school. The OR at SJH is a great place to work and they do a lot of promoting within. I strongly urge you to look at the OR even as a new grad. The benefit of one holiday/year, at least 50% day shifts and usually no weekends (we have FT weekend staff) is a huge benefit in nursing. The downside is the call but even that is nice $$

Good luck.:balloons:

I have a question for you-

I recently had an interview there and got a bit of a strange feeling. When I meet the supervisors, there were other employees walking past their offices and they gave me cold looks. I am wondering if they welcome new employees? It just made me a little worried. It seems like a great place though. Which specialty is the best? Thanks. I know that alot of people have applied to the OR.
