Will working as a Medical assistant help with being a registered nurse in the future?

Published

I have an interview for medical assistant position and was wondering if this would help me later when i go into nursing?

Of course. I'm a medical assistant and I'm in a vocational nursing program. What's nice is I already know how to talk to patients, take vital signs, and give injections. Plus my coworkers are great at teaching me things and explaining why they do something. I work in a jail so it's kind of different. Good luck in whatever you decide!

It's a beautiful day to save lives.

Nope.

I have LPN experience, and I am a new RN. Only job I have is my old one. I've been applying to open RN positions since July.
