.........Hi my MD people!
Well I just graduated in May and passed my boards last week so I am officially and RN( Thank You:D ) Now am back on the job search but i'm hoping to do it more effectively so I need help with any inside information like who's hiring NG? nurse recruiters or managers' names? phone #'s? tips on how best to get in touch with them ( coz apparently they don't spend any time in their offices..either that or the phone line is cut and they haven't realized it yet:wink2:.
Should i email? call? show up? volunteer? HELP!! I have an almost one yr old child to feed!
I live in Bmore county but I'm willing to commute
Thx
I'm here giving out advice and I haven't got a blasted job, either! LOL!
My application is 2 hours away...my dream job. I went through the physical and testing but it's taking months for references and transcripts so I gotta find someplace fast! I don't have 1 recent of the past 3 for agency....I'm looking for career and bennies not a job since I need to get back to school and get my doctorate or die trying. I've had it with the "pay compression" and I'm determined to school my way out of it.
Being self employed messed me up. The pay was a few times nursing salary and i got to travel the remote world but that doesn't help me get a job now. economy stinks and so does the nonexistent nursing shortage!
My preference is working with druggies and drunks but I can't find any fin stuff there. before that I did all the icu and stuff but that would mean relearning acls, ekg, and new procedures they have now since i'm a little rusty.
what do y'all suggest? (new or not, I'm all ears)!
If i don't hear back from them in a week, i'm taking a job anywhere since I need to pay bills and my emergency fund is nearly dry.
Any suggestions? I'd prefer a non running job nowadays...maybe I'll get back to SICU nights? I just miss the detox and my druggies and drunks but don't see anythng!
