Hi everyone,
I was wondering how many people who are in nursing school or starting soon will still have some courses to take besides nursing classes? Is it very difficult to take other classes while in nursing?
LPN to RN ADN program, I'll be done with all my non-nursing classes prior to doing the nursing classes. During LPN schooling we had both non-nursing and nursing..that was tough. Nothing like needing to study for huge exam while trying to do all your clinical paperwork etc. NOT fun! I'm just glad the only classes I'll have are the nursing ones.

Yes I will right now I am taking Intro to Ethics online to qualify for my 3 credits for the Bio or Medical Ethics..they said it was just as good (but from a Philosophical standpoint)...I will have to take Micro or Macro Economics when I get there
Here it is what I have to take
NURS3208
Intro to Health Care Economics
3.00 A
This course introduces the student to basic economic concepts and theories to analyze selected issues/problems in health care and to inform decision making and policy development. Fiscal management and basic budgeting concepts will also be covered.

It might also vary because of how programs are structured. Our nursing classes (ADN) only count for about 9-12 hrs each semester but we must take them in sequence together over five semesters. I've seen many posts mentioning a break over the summer. We don't get one. Maybe some programs are only 4 semesters? We also have lots of clinicals and clinical labs that don't seem to get credit for the actual amount of time spent in them.
