Will a recent bankruptcy cause an RN to not pass a back ground check and fail?
Should I expect everywhere to be uninterested in someone with a bankruptcy ?

That depends on the individual employer.
Does anyone have any experience on getting a job or being rejected for it?

Your financial/credit history would be an issue only if the position you're seeking is associated with financial decision making... e.g., accounting, purchasing agent, financial administration, etc.
In the US, employers have limitations on the type of job application information they can obtain (Federal laws). They cannot request/ask information that is intended to obtain information on any of the 'protected' (discrimination) categories such as religion, age, marital status, sexual preference, etc. In addition, they cannot request any information that is not directly applicable to specific Bonafide Occupational Qualifications (BOQ). For instance, if a job did not require any sort of math skills, they could not ask you to take a math test.
If they even want to run a credit report on you, you will have to give your permission via a signed document.
Thank you for your response! I was concerned about this! That was the only thing in my background that I would ever be an issue.
