Doctors and patients will judge you based on your knowledge and competence. And as time goes on, the doctors will get to know what type of nurse you are. Nurses who miss things, who are lazy, or need to be told the same thing over and over, are met with frustration or even anger. But even if you look young or are small in stature, people will take you very serious if you know you stuff. And there will be pts who ask you how old you are or how long you've been a nurse, but if you can give answer all there questions and show them you are good at your job, they will respect you no matter what.

So i'm 24 and in nursing school. I don't finish until next year and by then i'll almost be 26 (DOB 2/9). My problem is I look EXTREMELY young. I'm also only 5'2 and pretty thin naturally. I'm scared doctors or patients won't take me seriously. What are some things that can help me out with this?
