Hi
will doing a basic course of chemotherapy/Biotherapy and obtaining an ONS provider card help in applying for oncology positions? Especially infusion oncology clinics etc.? No experience in oncology but interested in going there.

I know that where I work, nurses who hold ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider cards are sought after. You don't need experience to take an ONS provider course, and you learn so much during the course. Good luck!!

Also, ONS has a nice group of education resources The Nurse Orientation Bundle. I definitely wish they had bundled these resources conveniently 'back in the day' when I began my career as an oncology nurse. And, my taking the initiative to set yourself up for CE success on your own, you show initiative and commitment to your goal. Hope all is going well, @khine2mn80

I imagine that this can only help. But I am not a recruiter and so don't know.
