I was just hired to work 5 days per week. Nothing was said about benefits, but, I thought that I would get them if I were hired full time.

You should probably as the HR person at your job. Generally if you're full time you get benefits but none of us would know since we don't work at your place of employment.

Only the HR staff at your place of employment can answer your question with accuracy.
I've worked full-time at multiple places, including a few nursing jobs, that did not offer benefits. However, this was in the days preceding the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. ObamaCare. Hence, you need to ask your HR director if you'll receive benefits.

Every job is different and no one can speak for your employer's offer. Yes, most full time nursing jobs include benefits in some level.
