I have been going to college for two years now and I am done with my my nursing prereqs, but I failed the HESI by one point. So I continued to work on my AA classes, which one of my favorite teachers recommended. I want to be able to get my BSN soon after my RN and my teacher whom I respect very much and I believe is wise when it comes to class advice told me to go ahead and get a Nursing AA. I just feel like no matter how many classes I finish I am no where close to being done. Like I said I am done with all my nursing prereqs and am halfway through my AA classes. I want to study more for my HESI exam but at the same time I want to finish my classes. I also work full time during the summer and part time for fall and spring semester. I haven't taken a semester off since I started and maybe I should have, I feel if I do I will feel guilty for not taking at least one class. I do not mean to complain but no one I talk to understands, I was just wondering if any one else feels the same way.

Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway...

Yes I felt that way before. I was rejected from one nursing program and did not even bother applying to another. The BSN program I am in now rejected me at first, and this was after 2 years of pre reqs (I transferred so it took longer).I was devastated. Then I received an email 2 days before school started with an open seat and now I am one semester away from being done. So there is a bit of light. I have went through break ups, have lost family members along the way, and have also struggled with bills. I couldn't work as much to keep up with my studies and it was so stressful. You have to remember honey that YOU DO NOT QUIT, no matter how much you want to give up. People always told me it was harder to finish than it was to get in and this is absolutely true! You will have many more days when you are in the program and want to quit. Please Please keep trying and let this motivate you. You can do it! The desire to be a nurse was placed in your heart for a reason.
Thank you! I appreciate all the positive advice. I'm glad someone gets it. I don't really have very many friends because all I do is work and go to school most everyone that I was friends with enjoy getting drunk on the weekend while I'm at home with a pile of home work haha. I love school I really do just some days I just get in this rut of feeling spread thin with all the stuff I have to do. Thank you for the responses though they are very appreciated I hope your last semester goes great!!

I felt like I was in school FOREVERRR doing my pre reqs for the nursing program, and sometimes I wanted to take a semester off but I never did because I honestly just wanted to get it done and over with. Trust me when I say this, once you get into the program it will fly by, you will seem so busy and the time will just pass. You will get there even though it seems like forever. Better to get it all over with now than to just keep increasing the time lol Good luck to you :)
