Will I be accepted to Nursing school?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I have a 3.6gpa and just scored an 80 on my entrance HESI exam. Also, I have made A's in both A&P 1 and 2 and A's in Chemistry. I am taking stat and medical microbio this semester. Do you think my stats are high enough to be accepted into UNG's nursing program?

Specializes in ICU.

They aren't going to tell you. If they tell your the scores look great and you will probably get in and you don't, then the advisor looks stupid. The thing is, there is no answer to this question. There really isn't. It changes every semester with how many people apply and everyone else's score. One semester the cutoff could be one thing, and then the next semester something very different. I asked my advisor when I was doing my prereqs. She said your scores look pretty good but I can't tell you because I have no idea what everyone else is turning in.

I know the waiting is hard. You just need to apply and wait and see. The only guarantee is if you don't apply is you won't get in.

I know you are probably anxious! I was really nervous. I wasn't accepted the first go around. The 2nd time, I wrote a better essay and just studied harder, and got accepted. Even though the first time I had a letter of recommendation from an RN of 30 years, I still didn't get in until my 2nd attempt. It may just have been timing..it seems a lot of schools have waiting lists for the nursing program and on those lists are students with high gpa's and sciences completed, but it's just a matter of who came first.

My fingers are crossed for you though!
