I'm a LPN right now thinking about enrolling in Excelsior's LPN-ADN program. After I complete the program, will a brick and mortar school accept Excelsior's degree so I can enroll in a traditional RN-BSN program. I am located in Ohio.

They would accept the degree but not necessarily all of the nursing "courses" from what I have read from others. Most schools do not accept individual nursing courses from another school but they accept the degree in aggregate.

I applied to and was accepted by three RN-BSN programs, all of which have brick-and-mortar schools as well as online versions, and they all accepted the EC degree.

From what I have seen, most RN-BSN will only "accept" a RN licence, which includes your nursing classes. From what I am seeing, they often don't care how you got it, as long as the school you got it from is accredited (as Excelsior is.)
I was introduced to Excelsior orginally as an alternative to CLEP courses. I used them to get a few credits out of the way for another program, and I have not had a problem with schools accepting these Excelsior classes.
However the only problem is that Excelsior tends to be a little "light" on the number of credits. The number awarded for thier non-nursing courses is often less then other schools require (often is it only three per class).
For example, thier A&P is only 6 credits. Most schools require 8-10 credits for this course. To transfer, you may have to retake this course for more credits.
