Wilbur Wright College LPN Summer 2015

Published

Hello everyone,

Are there any LPN applicants in the Chicago area that has applied to Wilbur Wright College LPN summer 2015 program? If so, please feel free to share with this thread!

As you all may know today is April 24, 2015, which is the DEADLINE for the summer 2015 LPN program. If you're applying, but has not already applied get them applications in before 4:00 p.m. Today!!!!

Goodluck to everyone including myself, and let's keep eachother updated. May 4th is around the corner... Blessings to all ! 🙌🏽😉

Hi I applied I'm just waiting on the email! I'm so nervous.

Are you serious??? They knew it was finals when they set the date, they know people are anxious! They give you very little time to prepare!

Yess I think they like us to be nervous! They should at least said between the 4th and 15th, so we wouldn't have our hopes set on a specific date. I kind of knew this was gon happen because all what I've read so far on these forums from the past semesters they was late getting their acceptance emails. Now if we accepted we will have to rush to get everything done before classes start. Fix it Jesus ... :nailbiting:

Do you know what we have to do before we start? Never mind, I just checked. I only need an updated physical, maybe.

And a 9 panel drug screen ! Do you have a valid CPR card by American Heart Association?

so that means we'll only have two weeks to do everything that needs to be done before the classes start (if we get accepted) I know somebody who started the program last semester and she had a **** load of stuff that needed to be done before classes started.

Yes. I my CPR card is valid. My physical should be too. I had one less than a year ago. I assume I will need updated drug testing though.

Hi I'm also new to the site and I applied for the summer 2015 LPN program and I'm wishing you guys good luck I know this waiting is stressful but hopefully it's for good news for all of us 😊

would u plz share your gpa and teas score?

I'm sure we will meet! I plan to attend St. Xavier, for LPN TO BSN

Someone that I know is studying there at St. Xavier. She told me that the regular BSN program take around 3 years because they make you to take classes there, besides the pre-request that you have from another institutions. I am assuming that you find out already how the LPN to BSN process is. To me sound a great idea to save some money in nursing credit classes at the CCC by taking the LPN and then transfer, specially if it completion ends by taking the same two years that it will take you to complete the CCC RN program. I don't know if it is to much to ask you, but maybe you can tell me what exactly information do you have about the LPN to BSN program there, why did you said it will take you the same amount of time as the CCC RN program if you go in that way? I am so interested because my main goal is to get the bachellors. I think I am in the exact situation as you. I really apreciate it your info!

The program is four semesters (summer's included), so just a little over a year. Still shorter than two years of RN then another three semesters of BSN. I am aware of the courses that have to be taken at SXU, it's just two, and I intend to take them next summer before the fall nursing session begins. There is an info session on May 14th that I plan to attend, you should consider going too!

Trw81,

Thank you so much for your information. I don't know you in person yet but I can tell you are a very nice person! Honestly, I don't undestand clearly the breakdown of semestres you wrote. But, anyways when the time goes right I will find out very well. For now I think the first mission is get into the LPN program.

Thanks FutureNurseKitchen for let us know that the nursing department will let us know about our acceptance not until next week, it was so nice of you. I was trying to call today several times during the day, but it was impossible to get the call. Not body pick up the phone!....Thanks to you we know that those e-mails will be received next week. So, I guess we just have to wait, let's try to keep our selves bussy so we don't stress to much.
