I still have a year until I graduate but wanted to see if anyone could answer a few questions I have. I have WIA assistance in school and I know they will pay for NCLEX fees and all but I wanted to know 1) will they pay the fee to get quick results or do I have to do that? 2) will they pay the fees to the state BON for my license?? and if they do pay the BON fees for the license do they do that as soon as you send the paperwork in or wait until they find out you passed?? I know I will have to askWIA all these questions to know FOR SURE but just curious to see if anyone knew what WIA did for them?? Thanks!

Yep, you're going to have to ask WIA people :)

I can tell you, though, that only about half the states participate in Quick Results, and even then, we're talking about $7.95, paid before you get the results, with a credit card. Not high finance, just high anxiety :)

Texas does participate in quick results, but I didnt know it was only $7.95!! LOL I just wanted to know mostly if they will pay the $139 fee for my license and if so before or after I take the test?? On the BON websitre it states you have to pay the fee (non-refundable) BEFORE you test so I am pretty sure they will pay it before my test IF they pay that part. Last time I asked WIA they just told me "we pay all fees in order for you to take NCLEX" gee that was vague!!

Hmmm....I can't be sure either, of course, but IF their info says just that..."we pay all fees in order for you to take the NCLEX" I PERSONALLY would interpret that to mean they'd pay the $200 for you to take the test, and that's it. I mean, they're not going to keep paying for your license when you renew, right? Just my guess, of course.

Hey, you have a year until you graduate...virtually a lifetime in Nursing School Land ....I'm sure you'll get more answers alot closer to the time it applies :)

I went through the WIA program and they paid the application fee to the BON in my state and they also, paid for the Nclex through Pearson. But, they will not pay for your quick results and they will not pay for you to renew your license.
