It is you again, I think you are studying too hard on topics related to calcium for Nclex. Grn Tea once said that if you know the physiology of the body system and the pathophys of a disease process then you don't need to memorize the s/s or adverse effect of a disease. Go back to the basics for example, What gland produce calcium, what are the functions of calcium, how does the kidney regulate and absorb calcium, what happens when there is too much calcium, what can cause excess calcium (hypercalcemia), how does it affect the GI system (the GI system will tell you why it cause weight loss, anorexia and constipation).
Once you have figured that out then AN members would let you know if you are on the right path. I'm still a junior in college and I dont usually memorize s/s because if I know what is normal then I should be able to know what is abnormal.
Goodluck

I'm confused....if you're now studying for NCLEX, why does your profile say Cardiac Care Progressive RN?
what s/s are you talking about because she has already posted some s/s of hypercalcemia
