Well, what made you say, "Hey, I want to be a nurse!" If it's just something you've always felt, explain that. Explain what about it draws you in. There doesn't necessarily need to have been a lightbulb moment, but being specific about what appeals to you. You can say that you've wanted to be a nurse for as long as you remember. Maybe that you've admired the nurses in your family since you were little.

I have my interview for nursing school in less than 2 weeks.
The advisers and previous nursing students told me that this question will definitely be asked. Why do you want to be a nurse?
I feel like my answers are generics, such as, "I like to help people, etc."
They want a very specific point in your life that pushed you to the edge and made you want to be a nurse, like you were the sole caregiver for a dying family member, you took care of wounded soldiers during your time in Iraq.
I don't have that kind of story. I like to help people. I'm surrounded by relatives who are nurses. I know the capabilities of being a nurse and I do enjoy it but I don't think that that is the answer that they are looking for.
If anybody else has some similar experience, I'd like to know how your interview went.
